FORFIRE-AI: the 8–9 September 2026 event on forest fire prevention
Two days of discussion on forest fire prevention, detection and management, as part of cooperation between Italy and Tunisia.
On 8 and 9 September 2026, an event dedicated to forest fire prevention and management took place as part of the FORFIRE-AI project. It offered an opportunity to share knowledge, field experience and innovative solutions for protecting the land.
The workshop in Palermo
On 8 September, the workshop on forest fire prevention and management was held at Palazzo dei Normanni, Sala Pio La Torre, in Palermo. The meeting, also aimed at decision-makers, focused on the contribution of geospatial data and artificial intelligence to preventing, detecting and managing fires.
SEEDS’ contribution
SEEDS contributes to the project by developing digital tools for land monitoring and information traceability. This work is part of cooperation between Italian and Tunisian partners to improve fire prevention and support more resilient territories.
